Robot car powered by LoPy and L298N

  • Silly little project for the kids

(Could have just as well used a Wipy - but I don't have one - yet)

  • @PiAir will share code (and wiring) once I have upgraded to latest firmware and made it work again - I am still running the factory version from October kickstarter delivery...

Could take a couple of weeks

  • Nice! Would you care to share the code that you used, so others can also play with it? :)

  • @livius

    • Funny choice of car ;-)
Chosen because it was available and remote broken - and cute

    • Is this power bank on the back side or something else?
Yup - just a normal USB powerbank so that I can rapidly swap out, powers both the motor & electronics

    • And how do you control it by wifi, bluetooth?
Wifi - either upload a path programmed in python, can also enter commands directly via putty

Next plan is to add bumper switches front and back, to make truly autonomous driving programs.

One day I want to find a Lora network and see if I can get instructions out and data back - closer to an IoT use case.
