    i have a few question:

    1. is possible create a tutorial for get a connection...
    2. exist a app for android to check a NB-IOT cover? (and test if really exist)
      3)i'm confused because are a lot of topics with this problems but i think one topic (in tutorial mode) is for a easy paht for use a fipy....

    i hope learn to used NB-IOT and fipy...

    The second number is the bit error rate (ber), whic is not know beforehand. So it means now the device detects is a proper signal.

    then. then, now I understand that it had a good signal, but the fipy was trying to attach herself all night, and she did not succeed.

    it's just waiting, or we should give it the command to attach repeatedly ...

    On the other hand, I'll check the commands you indicate

    AT+CEREG?

    That's what the micropython firmware does. If it returns a longer string than
    +CEREG: 2,2
    something like
    +CEREG: 2,5,"E2AE","018C7A0C",9
    then the device is attached.

    There are a lot of proprietary commands (~400), which all start with AT!="command>". You could try:

    lte.send_at_cmd('AT!="RRC:setDbgPerm full"')
    lte.send_at_cmd('AT!="RRC:showDetectedCell"')
    

    The first command enables debug commands.
    You may have to repeat the second command .

    There is also:
    lte.send_at_command('AT!="help"')
    lte.send_at_command('AT!="help commansd_name"')



  • @lafumat The first number is the rssi value. And 26 is ecellent. The second number is the bit error rate (ber), whic is not know beforehand. So it means now the device detects is a proper signal.

  • @lafumat Are you sure it is band 20? You could also try Band 8 or Band 3, although the latter is unlikely, being at a higher frequency. Please check also, that the antenna is properly attached.

    If the first number is in a range of 0..31, it indicates a signal strength, but everything below 10 is bad. See for instance http://m2msupport.net/m2msupport/atcsq-signal-quality/

    if true, attchad returns false



  • @lafumat You could try AT+CSQ, which tells you the strength of the signal. That will give results even if the devis is not attached.



  • @robert-hh I have come to try it for more than 30 minutes.
    I also do not understand that it takes longer the first time than others.

    perhaps, to make it easier you could consider a command to scan to check that coverage first exists (I do not know if that command exists), for later once we are sure there is coverage try to attach and then connect.

    for that reason I also ask if there is any mobile application to read if there is coverage.

    in principle the technicians of vodafone tell me where I carry out the tests if the coverage exists, but I imagine that it is relative ....

  • @lafumat How long did you wait for attaching? The first attach attempot can take very long, like 15 minuts. After that, attaching is faster.
