NB-IoT attaching to T-mobile, USA
we are currently trying to connect a Gpy to
T-Mobile, US (Bellevue, Washington)
without success, yet. We are using a local T-mobile SIM card for that.
From experiments with an ublox based system we know that NB-IoT is available there.
We are told to use bands 2 and 4 and to specify "nb.iot" as the local APN.
We are, however, still not able to attach() to the net.
Did anyone succeed to connect to T-mobile US there?
Would you be so kind to share the connection parameters/procedure with us?
Our code currently looks like this:
lte=LTE() lte.send_at_cmd('AT!="addscanband band=2"') lte.send_at_cmd('AT!="addscanband band=4"') lte.send_at_cmd('AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","nb.iot"') lte.send_at_cmd('AT+CFUN=1') while not lte.isattached(): print("not attached") utime.sleep(1)
@Elizar we are using Hologram and T-Mobile SIMs, so I should reach out to them whitelist sequans modem chip?
@Envy Yes, we made it. The key was not only to choose the correct parameters but the pycom / sequans chip had to be whitelisted by the provider.
@Elizar were you able to connect to T-mobile network in US? I am in the Boston area and having issues with GPy connecting to T-mobile NB-IoT
