Can the fipy handle transient spikes of -0.5V on the analog pins?

  • Hi,

Can the fipy handle transient spikes of -0.5V on the analog pins?

I am using a voltage divider and a diode for protection but occasionally it goes to negative half a volt and I couldn't see in the documentation whether it could handle that?

  • @edward-dimmack The data sheet tells: -0.3 - 3.6V as maximum ratings. If teh source impedance is high, it should withstand a little bit more than that. Us a shottky diode (e.g. 1N5711, BAT48) for input protection, which has a lower forward voltage.
