Bluetooth SPP?

Hi,
we have started to work with L01 and I am trying to understand - Is it possible (somehow?) to program and configure L01 module via UART?
So, MCU, connected to the module via UART will configure LoRa module, or configure BT module and initiate SPP connection to another BT device.
Or I have to write own code on microPyton, implement own AT protocol ?
