pyscan and the nfc.py example script

  • I am presenting a MIFARE 1K card, with known data on it (many blocks have data) to pyscan and the nfc.py example script .. it correctly decodes the UID, but returns all sectors, all blocks as '00'.

    UID [4]: A9 BF 4B 75
                    Sector 00 : Block: 00 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 00 : Block: 01 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 00 : Block: 02 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 00 : Block: 03 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 01 : Block: 00 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 01 : Block: 01 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 01 : Block: 02 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
                    Sector 01 : Block: 03 : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Is this a known issue with the script or library or hardware?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I am getting the same issue. I also got failure to authenticate until is used key B. I am using the same type of card. Not getting very far on fixing the issue though!

  • Can you read the card successfully on another device?
