LTE signal quality detector

  • Hi all,

I have just started with pycom devices and I am having problems sending data to pybytes over LTE (getting the "send message" confirmed but without reception of the data at pybytes). This happens only at certain places in my house, so I am suspecting that signal quality plays a role here.

In order to investigate this I have build a simple "signal quality detector" utility with the FiPy. It blinks green when the signal is like a reference signal which can be calibrated at a given location. When the signal quality drops, the led turns to green/blue tones, when the quality goes up yellow/red tones are displayed.

This tool might prove useful for checking signal availability, for placing your antenna in/on the device, for comparing antennas etc. Give it a try: https://github.com/clausdenk/fipy-ltesignal

    PD. Great little devices!
