Pytrack (None, None) coordinates - GPS

  • Hi

I have got my PyTrack 2 and Lopy 4 packages few days ago and I have quickly started to play with. :)

For the lora part (LOPY), I manage to connect to TTN and got the response to the join request.

So I tried to test as well the GPS part (PYTRACK), but i am stuck. I get some problems.

If I use the reference code from the pytrack 2 documentation and I get None for the coordinates :

    (None, None) - (1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 7, 439353, None) - 2544192
    (None, None) - (1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 9, 436383, None) - 2544384
    (None, None) - (1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 11, 433600, None) - 2544384
    (None, None) - (1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 13, 431573, None) - 2544384
    (None, None) - (1970, 1, 1, 0, 0, 15, 428571, None) - 2544384

And when I use the other libray (L76GNSV4), nothing happens. it seems blocked.

What should I do ? May it be a problem with the GPS antenna ? I didn't add any antenna to the PyTrack board.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Best regards

  • I am having the same issue here. I tried with direct line of sight, with and without the active antenna...

  • @Jean-Guillaume-LALANNE Are you testing outdoors? GPS chips need direct line of sight to multiple satellites.
