I am new to this galaxy of Pycom and micropython. I was trying to connect to pycom lopy4 using Pymakr vscode extension. Initially, it wasn't even showing the console. Thanks to all of you for posting solutions to this issue. I downgraded vscode version to 1.58.2 ! and pymakr version is the latest 1.1.18.<br />
It now shows the terminal.<br />
However, I am it doesn't connect to the pycom board and keeps showing connecting COM7 ...</p>
<ul>
<li>i have verified the serial port it is correct.</li>
<li>I have also tried to connect using PuTTy using 115200 baud rate and flow control :No</li>
<li>I have also tried using Ubuntu 20.4 -- Vscode pymakr + Picocom and Screen as well</li>
<li>But it keeps showing Connecting to port ....</li>
<li>on ubuntu, I have a user to dialout group as well.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">Could you please help out to resolve this issue??</p>

Which usb-serial interface do you use? The expansion board?</p>

So you are on the right port. Just the firmware does not start. Try loading the LoPy4 firmware again. Which firmware did you use?</p>

In any case, try a legacy firmware version.<br />

It may be that a PyBytes firmware does not work any more since Pycom got bankrupt.</p>

So coming back to the problem I had. Since I was beginner so I tried almost all the tools and tricks to connect the pycom lopy4 using pymakr and vscode.<br />
But the issue was resolved by updating the firmware of the module to the latest one.<br />
Hence if you are having such issues don't forget to update the firmware.</p>
