Gpy multipack getting started

Hello,
I have purchased a basic set which includes gpy, antenna and expansion board.
However I have received expansion board v3.0. but being redirected here:
https://docs.pycom.io/chapter/pytrackpysense/installation/firmware.html

I see no option for installing expansion board firmware.
I am using ubuntu 16.04. When listing usb devices I get this entry for the board
Bus 001 Device 013: ID 04d8:ef98 Microchip Technology, Inc.
Flashing firmware pytrack_0.0.8.dfu with dfu util results in dfu-util: No DFU capable USB device available.
Clearly product id does not match.
How can I get started?

The factory firmware is already at the latest version, you shouldn't need to do any updates yet, sorry for the confusion
