Version/Release question

Hi,

When I enter the command os.uname() into the REPL this result comes back:

(sysname='WiPy', nodename='WiPy', release='1.17.3.b1', version='v1.8.6-849-83e2f7f on 2018-03-19', machine='WiPy with ESP32')

I'm confused about the release vs version. Can someone explain to me what the difference is?

Also is my board up-to-date with the latest release?

this is version of Pycom firmware

this is version of micropython
