Why do we need to update the firmware?

Without updating the firmware if I connect the expansion board to the PC
Is there any problem regarding that? I am trying to use the Raw lora mode .

@anik Without updating you may have incompatible fw versions in module and expansion boards too.

@anik Due to the long lead times between setting up production and the modules arriving at our warehouse, the firmware flashed at production is mainly used for hardware QA testing. While the module will provide basic functionality, the firmware is incomplete and not recommended for general usage.
