Q: LoPy with a network operator?
-
Dear all,
can anybody provide information / lessons learned about using LoPy modules with a "network operator" (e.g. Proximus Enco in Belgium https://www.enco.io/ where I just tested things with their suggested hardware https://twitter.com/_rac01/status/807539643336065024 ) or e.g. a ThingsNetwork gateway (either a Multi-Tech Conduit or their own one)?
I'm interested in all kind of "not just point to point" but "using some network infrastructure with aspects like dedicated keys etc.") aspects - to actively use LoPys in such.
many thanks for your support and best regards
Ralf

@thibault This should help :o) https://forum.pycom.io/topic/113/lopy-antenna-setup-installation

On the link send by jmarcelino you write we can see:
Using the LoPy without an external antenna might damage it.
It is true or not? Because the first test i made was made without antenna.

Hi Ralf,
There is a draft guide in progress on using the LoPy with the Things Network:
https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/draft/lopy/
I've not tried it myself (my LoPy order is pending, waiting for release of the SiPy since I ordered everything together) but others have reported it's working - despite some caveats.
