Chirpstack gateway + Pycom Chirpstack server setup + Fipy

I've got a Chirpstack gateway (Lorix One running on Chirpstack firmware).

In the /etc/lora-packet-forwarder/global_conf.json, I have the following:

Is this correct?

Next I've copied the Lora OTAA example (changed app_eui + app_key to what is found in the pybytes_config.json file). The FiPy doesn't join the Lora network.

Any suggestions (or ways to debug) as to why?
