MicroPython network.WIZNET5K module?

It seems the built in WIZNET5K module in the 'network' module is missing in the pycom firmware. Does anyone know one would add this back in? I've tried to compile the firmware myself, but the only instructions I could find were from 2018 and don't appear to work any longer.
