Getting started in Debian / Ubuntu. Please specify the path to the directory FwUpdater-debian-(version)

I downloaded and extracted the file "FwUpdater-debian-1.0.3.tar.gz" to a directory "PyBytes" within my home directory.
But when I run the installation script it throws me the error:
Please specify the path to the directory FwUpdater-debian-(version).
The path should be absolute(from your /home/ directory)When I do:
root@debian:/home/rudy/PyBytes# ./create-service.sh PyBytes
I get:
cat: PyBytes/version.txt: No such file or directory
Service Version
cp: cannot stat 'PyBytes/*': No such file or directory
./create-service.sh: line 35: /root/.config/autostart/fwupdater.desktop: No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access '/home/root/.config/autostart/fwupdater.desktop': No such file or directoryI am stuck.
