Raspberry Pi HAT or XBEE Module

Not sure if this has been discussed before and apologies if it has.
Are there any plans for XBEE or Rapberry Pi HAT modules or will Pycom continue with their current form factor?
If so, am I right in understanding that the FiPy is a combination of 3x chips or is it a separate chipset not yet available as an OEM product?
I like the concept of FiPy and exploring the ability to use it with a raspberry pi as a gateway.
