HW needed for development with WiPy2.0
-
Planning to start development with ESP32 WiPy 2.0 board. What is the minimal HW needed, including connecting to the host development platform for this effort please?

Thanks guys for the information.

@emmanuel-goudot Sure. The ouputs have a current limit, the inputs have ESD and same overvoltage protection, and you may do that at you own risk. But you should be aware that it's outside the specs and that there is a damage risk.

@robert-hh I know !!!
But I have been using it for several 3.3V devices, event inverting RX/TX (white & green) sometimes, and never damaged anything... I guess there is some resistor on the line.

@emmanuel-goudot According to the description it is not clear, whther this cable has a 3.3V or 5V logic level. TTL indicates 5V, which may damage the WiPy GPIO pins.

Hello @ajit-sarnaik ,
I use USB/TTL cable (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1pcs-lot-PL2303-PL2303HX-USB-to-UART-TTL-Cable-module-4p-4-pin-RS232/1945292071.html) to communicate & power board.
Work fine, minimal setting ;-)
BR, Emmanuel
