I was going to ask the same question as you.
Is there any implementation of modbus slave for Wipy / micropython? At the moment I'm searching and no luck. I have a possible project but I need modbus in order to get values from Wipy to supervisory system.

Maybe you @SenaPR have an abstract of modbus library and can you show us your progress?

I've read somewhere that pycom has a modbus library but I don't find it or maybe it's not published.
