Using Non-Standard LoRaWAN Frequencies

  • Hi Guys,
    First post to this forum...

I'm needing to be able to define a set of custom frequencies in the 868MHz range for LoRaWAN communications to a local commercial gateway that I cannot control...

Looking at the documentation here: https://docs.pycom.io/lopy/library/network.html#class-lora it says:

In LoRa.LORAWAN mode, only adr, public and tx_retries are used. All the other params will be ignored as theiy are handled by the LoRaWAN stack directly.

So as things are currently I'm picking that I cannot change the LoRaWAN frequencies this library is using. Is that correct or are the docs wrong?

Here is the table of frequencies I need to configure from here: http://kotahi.net/connect/

Channel Frequency (MHz) Bandwidth (kHz) Sp Factor/Data Rate
    0 865.0 125 12-7/0-5
    1 865.2 125 12-7/0-5
    2 865.4 125 12-7/0-5
    3 866.2 125 12-7/0-5
    4 866.4 125 12-7/0-5
    5 866.6 125 12-7/0-5
    6 866.8 125 12-7/0-5
    7 867.0 125 12-7/0-5
    8 865.6 250 7/6

    Any suggestions?

    Regards
    Alex Shepherd

Hi Alex, good to chat to you, as discussed Daniel and team should have the documentation updated about using the new API in this new firmware release. Cheers good luck - Mossy

@mossynz can you email your contact details to: kiwi64ajs at gmail.com

  • @mossynz Thanks for the feedback. Do you know when the document will be available?
