Nothing really wrong. But if i for example need something for micropython i do:
google: something micropython git
e.g:
WS2812 micropython git and result is really really better then on above link ;-)

What is the problem to find MicroPython source code for other boards ? Pyboard, WiPy 1, ESP8266, BBC Micro:bit, ESP32, etc ?
For example, many drivers can be adapted to other boards.
I want to see MicroPython plataform (hardware & software) grow.

As i say previously, this is only my little point of view.
If you look there - then you find mixed code for esp8266 and esp32.
Also there are realy few examples and better one can be found on this forum or docs, really.

I can only say that this can only more confused beginners which need example then help.
But this is only my POV.
Better is fallow official documentation examples in this matter.
