Sigfox coverage in melbourne australia

How do i findout out if my area has sigfox coverage? Using the sigfox website doesn't give me detailed coverage. Can i just try to connect and see what happens? Do i have to register my device on the sigfox network or something?

You will have access to more details and to the coverage API once you register your device (follow the guide on pycom.io and register through backend.sigfox.com/activate).
