PyTrack external GPS antenna

Is is possible to connect an external ( active or passive ) antenna to PyTrack? This is very important because the GPy + PyTrack combo that I am using is completely enclosed in a box and tucked away under the dashboard. I have no choice but to add an external antenna because the GPS has not been able to get a lock for about 12 hours now!
In short, without an external GPS antenna, I simply cannot use PyTrack ( for this current application)

+1 External active antenna with LNA would be great. Other boards have this (e.g. Adafruit and NEO boards).
