When I remove the usb cable, my mac cannot reconnect to the lopy anymore.
I have installed the FTDIUsbSerialDriver 2.4.2, I am running osx 10.11.6
When I reconnect the lopy, I see 2 entries for FT230x in the computer settings.

Any Idea how to solve this problem without a computer restart ?

There is a known issue with the FTDI driver on mac os that causes this issue. It is best to just use the default driver provided by apple, this works flawlessly for me.

Please see here for instructions on how to do this: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/236584/ftdi-usb-device-not-removed-after-unplugging
