Macosx: cannot reconnect the lopy with serial USB after removing the usb cable

When I remove the usb cable, my mac cannot reconnect to the lopy anymore.
I have installed the FTDIUsbSerialDriver 2.4.2, I am running osx 10.11.6
When I reconnect the lopy, I see 2 entries for FT230x in the computer settings.

Any Idea how to solve this problem without a computer restart ?

There is a known issue with the FTDI driver on mac os that causes this issue. It is best to just use the default driver provided by apple, this works flawlessly for me.
