Serial over bluetooth implementation

I realise that the serial over bluetooth is not implemented yet.
What should I do to use bluetooth to reach something similar?
I'm reading for now the official documentation of the GATT protocol

Does any implementation of the Serial over Bluetooth is plan in the near future ?
