      I am trying to read output from the serial pin of the MaxSonar WR series ultrasonic sensor datasheet.

      I have connected via Max3232 Breakout using the below connections

      I then tried with a transistor 2N7000 connected like this

      and it prints none

      Has anyone had any experience with using these sensors at all?

        @jimpower Have you checked https://forum.pycom.io/topic/1901/uart-reading-serial-stream-escape-sequences/17 ?

        I believe your transistor's wiring does not match the one described in that thread.

          @jcaron My diagram is incorrect sorry, however I tried a new max3232 today and managed to get it to work.
