I am building a system based on W01 where I want the end user to be able to update firmware. I will encrypt the firmware. I understand how to build a firmware image with my application embedded as frozen code and how to download the application image over WIFI and install (not yet tried). What about the bootloader? Will I ever need to upgrade the bootloader? Can I use the current bootloader together with newer MicroPython releases?

        Hi @johand,

You probably won't have to update the bootloader, unless there's some bug or the OTA mechanism changes. We have no features planned for the bootloader at the moment, so you should be fine with OTA updates.
