Hello everyone,
A new firmware has been released now for fixing the issue encountered during modem state detection of the previous version (v1.18.1)
Note: For upgrading the LTE modem firmware please follow the steps in the following Link
The new LTE modem upgrade Scripts can be found https://github.com/pycom/pycom-libraries/tree/master/lib/sqnsupgrade
You can download the new Stable firmware using pycom firmware updater tool.

Note: During LTE firmware upgrade if upgrade process is stuck at
Attempting AT wakeup...please try doing complete power cycle (disconnect power and reconnect again, pressing reset won't be enough)

@mfa2214 xPy module f/w and GPy/Fipy modem f/w are separate, so GPy/Fipy module f/w doesn't contain modem f/w.

@mfa2214 xPy module f/w and GPy/Fipy modem f/w are separate, so GPy/Fipy module f/w doesn't contain modem f/w.

@rskoniec we have decided not to publish that procedure. It is unsafe (module can be easily permanently damaged) and may not work in every case. We are still working on an internal procedure as well. I'd recommend opening an RMA request and sending it back instead of trying to repair it yourself.

There will be another process for bricked modems, we are still working on that. We'll make a post here on the forum when it's published.

@iwahdan Is this also the procedure for "bricked" modems? On my Gpy, the AT command interface froze during normal operation (i.e., while sending modem commands, not during an upgrade). Now it is unresponsive and the REPL also freezes ~20 seconds after reboot.
Running the new sqnsupgrade script returns modem state "None" and then hangs at "Attempting AT wakeup...", which is not surprising since the AT interface is known not to be working. Is there anything I can do which does not rely on AT commands?

@iwahdan In the upgrade instructions still 1.18.1 (not 1.18.1.r1) is mentioned. That might confuse people.
