UART connection to Wipy3?
-
I just received a Wipy3.0. I want to begin to use it. I have a Sparkfun USB-UART adapter, FT231X, https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13263
What lines on the Wipy3 do I use for such an adapter? The "USB UART Adapter" tab of the Getting Started documentation does not work. Can someone at Pycom please fix that?
Is the Wipy3 5-V tolerant?Thanks,
Steve

@stevempotter First of all: the WiPy3 is NOT 5v tolerant. Use 3.3V levels. RX is at P0, TX at P1, GND opposite to RX. Not that this is not the usual package numbering, but the one from ther WiPy3 Pinout at https://docs.pycom.io/datasheets/development/wipy3.html
The device has to be powered through Vin and GND. Vin is told to be 3.6-5.5V. But it works also with 3.3V.Edit: I have the problem with the docs that many links do not open. I have to go through the context menu and manualy select "open link".
