Layout documetation, SiPy vs PySense, what is correct
-
If you compare:
https://docs.pycom.io/.gitbook/assets/sipy-pinout.pdf
https://docs.pycom.io/.gitbook/assets/pysense-pinout.pdfThe naming of the pins do not match, especially the GPIO numbering.
What is correct?
-
@PeterB Actually it should read Gxx instead of GPIOxx, where not by chance that matches the old WiPy1 numbers. And yes, this inconsistency has been reported over & over. It should have been fixed.
-
Now I see, the documentation the page, especially the layout of:
https://docs.pycom.io/datasheets/boards/pysense.html
is different from what is shown in the pdf referenced on that page:
https://docs.pycom.io/.gitbook/assets/pysense-pinout.pdfA pdf is easier to print, so used that one but now found out it is out-of-date.
Why is it not updated ???
-
@PeterB The GPIO numbers are wrong. Reset, GND, 5V and 3V3 are correct. The functional labels should be fine too.
-
@robert-hh OK, Thanks. I hope you only mean the GPIO naming mentioned on the PySense doc?
Or are there others which are also wrong?
-
@PeterB The Pysense sheet seems to be completely wrong. The Pinout is that of the old WiPy1.
