@sksolutions Without going into depth, that's what I understand from the code:
the timer itself is a 64bit quantity. That value is divided by the clock frequency and returned as a float. max of 64 bit / 160MHz gives 115 292 150 461, or about 115 billion (seconds, ~3665 years). The granularity is diminished by the fact, that the number is returned as float. So about 100 days after start of the device you will loose seconds resolution.
But my experience tells that a typical device will anyhow tip over before that and has to be rebooted.
