command 'pymakr.connect' not found - trying to use Code OSS on raspberry pi

Not sure why the pymakr commands are not found, code oss is visual studio code but for raspberry pi, the device firmware has been updated and Node JS (ver 13) has been installed. Please someone help figure out why this isn't working!!
