Sending and Receiving Data from local web server

I am trying to host a local server on a FiPy that can be assessed from another device by connecting to the FiPys WiFi and going to localhost. I have the web server working using https://github.com/jczic/MicroWebSrv2 and am able to see if from another device. However, I am struggling to be able to send and receive data from the server.
The end goal is to be able to set the parameters of the FiPy from the web server so I need to send current settings to the web server and then receive new settings upon update from the server.
