Temperature specs

Hi,
I have some devices using wipy and gpy installed on the countryside.
This week we got 44 Celsius, and I start notice that some devices don't communicate during the hottest hours of the day.
Can you give me the temperature ranges for the pycom devices?Best regards,

See my Teensy 3.x/4.0 CoreMark, Temperature and Power Benchmark. With a simple black aluminium heatsink from Raspberry Pi the MCU temperturare of the Teensy 4.0 is up to 15 C lower.
Other solution is to cover the case/box with reflective surface. I've had experienced 20-30 C lower temperature.

@serafimsaudade remember that an ESP32 will easily run 20 degrees hotter than ambient temperature.
Also, depending on the box you use and where it is placed, you can very, very easily reach temperatures way beyond ambient. This is a lesson too many parents and pet owners learn the hard way, leaving children or pets in a car in the sun, even in mild temperatures.

@serafimsaudade There is a datasheet for the WiPy3 here: https://docs.pycom.io/gitbook/assets/specsheets/Pycom_002_Specsheets_WiPy3.0_v2.pdf
and similar for the GPY: https://docs.pycom.io/gitbook/assets/specsheets/Pycom_002_Specsheets_GPy_v2.pdf
The mention 85°C as the maximum operating temperature. But I have my doubts if that really covers the full board. This figure is in a table of specs, which looks like the ESP32 one. But 85°C is a common upper operating temperature. The other chips on the board should be on par with that. Power regulator devices are usually rated for even higher temperatures. But depending on ventilation, cooling and positioning of the devices (e.g. sun light exposure) high temperatures can be reached.
The most critical part should be a Lithium battery, if you have one. These are rated typically for 60°C max temperature.I definitely had a heat damage on a device, which was placed in the full sun. The internal temperature exceeded 80°C. I've rebuild the box with internal ventilation, which made it more robust.
