Environmental protection, potting and conformal coat

I am looking at using the products is outdoor environments. It is possible that I cannot completely seal the products so I was thinking about conformal coating and/or potting. Besides the obvious antenna connections and push button, is there and know concerns or added thoughts for using one of these processes.

Just thinking - if you would use helical or PCB antenna you could probably put coating onto it as well.
