Detecting charge state

Not looking to get the battery percentage but but if the LED on the expansion board can tell if the battery is charged or charging can this be queried from a wipy or whatever?

You can tell the battery is charging by the red LED on the expansionboard. Once the LED turns off, the battery is charged. This is not directly broken out to a controller pin, but can be easily connected as @robert-hh suggested, by connecting the LED to one of the GPIO pins (make sure you watch the voltage!)

@kiltedpython The led is connected to the charging IC. Lacking and information about the expansion board I cannot tell, if there is a software means to tell the state. You should be to connect the output of that pin (the led contact) to one of the GPIO pins of the WiPy with a thin wire.
