Download Update 1.58.2
Uninstall the new version before you install the older version.
Disable auto update on Visual Studio preference/settings/ update to 'None'.

Another thing don't use the download button on the top right - it just downloads the latest version, use the option from

Available solution is to downgrade the VScode and set the update in the preference/settings/ update to 'None'.
