MicroPython Plugin for PyCharm
-
Hi!
I just read about this: https://blog.jetbrains.com/pycharm/2018/01/micropython-plugin-for-pycharm/
It would be great to know if they are planning to add Pycom devices to the list of compatible boards.
Cheers,
Marco

I've been using Atom with it's plugin and it's been working well for me. It's got it's quirks and feels clunky, but it gets the job done. I would like to see a proper plugin for PyCharm however, because I like that IDE.

@nathanh Thanks, but I try to avoid Microsoft if possible. I'm back to using using Arduino/Mdot with PlatformIO on Atom.

+1 for adding support for pycom modules in this pycharm plugin.

I can only say that Visual Studio Code Pymakr plugin working much better for me than Atom plugin..Also concur, originally I wanted to use PyCharm but had no plugin, tried ATOM, it was rubbish and had constant issues talking to the devices.
Visual Studio Code has been awesome and have had no issues with it.

I gave up using ATOM for various reasons, it was practically unusable. For desktop Python development I'm using Pycharm and happy with it. Would be great to use it with Pycom products!

Please, please, please! Atom is such a POS. My Pycoms are gathering dust waiting for a decent IDE.
