Headers to use for my own custom expansion board?

The manual for the FiPy, and other controllers I'm sure, have mechanical drawings for the male header pins. Is there a recommended manufacturer and part number for female headers to mate with them, such as the ones on the pycom expansion boards?
Connectors and cables are the weakest link of most systems, so I'd rather not improvise.

@dweedle Just use any high quality female headers. They will most likely be better than the ones Pycom boards have. I made very good experience with a vendor called Fischer, series BL5 14 or MK21 14 (low profile), but also from MPE Garry. Just get those with machine contacts.
