Max voltage input on USB port
-
Which is the maximum input voltage on the USB port?
Thanks

Hi...i am a new user here. As per my knowledge 5.6v is out of spec and should be considered unsafe. Most likely it will work, since USB ports tend to be poorly regulated and these devices take that into account with lots of safety margin, but you risk your player doing so. You might want to look into putting together a 5v regulator circuit to be safe.

Without stabilizer it is risky because sometimes it become much more, nominal 5V but in sunning day it can be 7V

I want to connect a solar panel to usb port and using internal lipo battery charger. I found some solar panel with output around 5.5Volt.

Hi @Officina, @livius is correct, the expected input voltage should be 5.25 V in accordance to the USB standard. You should avoid connecting anything over 5.25 V via the USB port.
You may wish to power the device over the Vin pin and you can safely connect a voltage source between 3.4 V and 5.5 V.

@Officina
Normally USB spec say about 5.25V but it is specific to device.
Why do you asking?
