LoPy max current draw

Hi guys, I'm designing a sensor node that will run of 3xAAA alkaline cells.

I need to choose a DC-DC converter with low Iq and sufficient current to drive the LoPy.

What is the peak current draw I should plan for?

I found sipy very power hungry when starting around 460 mA

if i put my Fluke to measure amps on the 400ma Fuse the sipy will not start...
