Macos Sierra: Pycom firmware update crashes.

I got my first LoPy and Pycom expansion board today. Really frustrating that the Pycom Firmware Upgrade app can't launch. The crash report is attached. I have installed the VCP driver and it appears in /dev when the board is plugged into USB. I noticed that the upgrade tool used Python 2.7 so I killed all other versions and did a clean install of 2.7. Still no joy. Advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan.
