NB-IoT readyness
-
Hi,
does anyone use a PyCom NB-IoT module? Hungarian Telecom (a DT Company) started a pilot in December, now it is possible to play with NB-IoT technology. Any feedback in a similar environment appreciated.

@jmarcelino This will be great. I'm working close with the T-Mobile NL NB-IoT team. Let me know by DM if I can hook you guys up.

@jmarcelino Can you explain the difference between E// and Huawei NB-IoT eNodeBs?
-
What I know at the moment Quectel BG96 must work.

@bmarkus
We’ll have news around mid January when we complete the first tests of the NB-IoT firmware our LTE chipset manufacturer is providing. Vodafone is one of our earlier partners but we’re talking with T-Mobile/DT as well.Can you find out which eNodeBs Hungarian Telecom uses? Ericsson or Huwei? Sadly each brand requires different support.

@bmarkus Did you get the Quectel modules to work with the pilot NB-IoT network?
Not yet, but year end was busy. We are on official Quectel distributor and a Telecom partner, support is available from both sides.
