FiPy (as LoRa WAN node not connected to TTN)



  • Hello everyone,

    I am using Dragino LG-01 as my Gateway and I want to setup LoRa node with my FiPy.
    I have used this FiPy as Gateway before. I deleted it on TTN as gateway and registered it as device. I have used an example code given in Pycom docs but I only get the result as the device has not yet joined.

    Can anyone give me any suggestions on how can I proceed further.

    Only one of my Gateways out of two accepted join request, but still on the terminal I got the message as not yet joined. I saw the device eui displayes in Gateway join request message is APP eui which was false.
    I included device eui also in my code(Also I cant be very sure if it is what got my device to join but it worked for me). By the way I used sample code available on pycom docs for LoRaWAN OTAA.

    Can anyone tell me what is the payload range of gateway and LoRa endmodule ?



  • @robert-hh Both the devices are set to same frequency.
    I cannot tell if there is any logging feauteure to Dragino. but I have two gateways, both dragino and When I checked today morning, one of the gateway showed as it recieved 9 messages. I get this Register dump and bunch of gibberish sometimes on Terminal

    It looks like you're trying the OTAA join method. Does the Draguino have any logging feature to tell, whether it receives at all messages from the FiPy.
    The LG01 is single channel gateway. That makes it essential to configure both devices to the same frequency.
