Can't Connect to My Devices in Ubuntu 18.04

I've recently returned to my FiPy/PyTrack and one expansion board (2.0), after a long absence. However, I can't see any of my devices in lsusb, and no activity in dmesg. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04, but I have also tried the boards in OSX on another laptop, as well as multiple USB ports. I'm certain there is something I'm doing wrong here, or forgetting to setup, but can't seem to sort out what it is. The boards are getting power, as the LEDs illuminate, and the FiPy's begin blinking. Any help would be appreciated, as right now I can't do anything with my hardware.
