Linux issue serial connection with fipy in pysense

  • Hi,

    I am on linux (Linux xps15 5.1.15-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 25 04:49:39 UTC 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I was able to update my pysense board ("sudo dfu-util -d 04d8:f011 -D pysense_0.0.8.dfu" without fipy attached) and the board gets a serial port/tty:

[18672.285667] usb 1-2: USB disconnect, device number 30
    [18975.761985] usb 1-2: new full-speed USB device number 31 using xhci_hcd
    [18975.904199] usb 1-2: New USB device found, idVendor=04d8, idProduct=f012, bcdDevice= 0.08
    [18975.904204] usb 1-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
    [18975.904207] usb 1-2: Product: Pysense
    [18975.904210] usb 1-2: Manufacturer: Pycom
    [18975.904212] usb 1-2: SerialNumber: Pyd5d67c
    [18975.906515] cdc_acm 1-2:1.0: ttyACM0: USB ACM device

However, as soon as I install fipy, the board doesn't get recognized any more (no movement in dmesg) and I am not able to connect. Can anyone help please?
