Uploading code as .zip to Pymakr no longer works

  • Hello,

I can't seem to upload code as a .zip-archive to Pymakr anymore.

"Error: You have selected a file of .x-zip-compressed. But your file should be .zip"

I've tried using the native Windows zipping feature and 7-zip (with/without compression).
The problem happens in both Chrome and Firefox.

    Sidenote:
It would be nice if the Pymakr uploader could be responsive to a device connecting to Pybytes. Most of our devices are only awake for a short read cycle.
It currently often takes me multiple tries to upload the entire project (over LTE).
The uploader either doesn't react to the device being connected at all or doesn't manage to upload all the files before the device goes back to sleep.
We have not found a way to wait for update completion before going back to sleep.

  • Hi @knaris,

Concerning the sleeping time of the device, as I understand that you have a custom code to take the device to sleep? maybe you can optimize this to turn off the sleep cycle when you are doing an update?

Let me know if I can help more.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi @knaris

    Thank you for reporting this.

Kindly note that we have deployed a new version where we fixed the Pymakr` upload code issue.

    Best Regards,
    Ahmad EL Masri
