Another machine.reset issue

When using machine.reset() - or rerunning main.py I see a hang while calling:
time.sleep_us(1000:)
or
Timer.sleep_us(1000)
The strange thing is - the same class method for the same object is called and doesn't hang earlier in the program. The hang always seems to happen at the same "instance" of the call.
This also never happens when the program is started via a reset button or power on "reset"
