I'm in Australia and we apparently have LTe-M through Telstra...what frequency do i need to support for an antenna? The Antenna on the PYcom site suggests its supports all frequencies?

@jmarcelino A couple of months down the road has there been any progress on certification with Telstra? I'm evaluating some options for a new IoT project we are developing at work and the Gpy looks pretty close to ideal but while certification isn't an issue yet it will be required when/if we end up with a finished product.

Could you please provide estimation for implementation of Huawei NB-IoT eNBs support (at 800MHz)? I have several meetings next week for which this information is important.

@jmarcelino, is Telstra locking out devices that aren't approved?
as you support already Band 28 (700mhz) I would have thought that would be enough. if not full connection at least allowing a user to see the network.
FYI - RCM isn't technically needed to prove functionality, and there are many devices (phones, modules, modems etc) imported and connected to Telstra 3G & 4G networks that aren't officially approved by Telstra, however they obviously comply to the 3GPP standards.

Sorry we don’t have one yet, we need obtain RCM first and then move to certify with Telstra. All this takes time, maybe 1-2 months

Yes you can do that with Cat M1 and use with HTTPS, MQTT...It's also possible to forward LoRa on on NB-IoT with some carriers (if they give you UDP access, though often limited) as long as you don't need to comply with LoRaWAN window timings...

Which carrier is performing trials of Cat M1? In our use case it would be better than NB-IoT. I believe it allows to transport TCP and layers above it without any restrictions?
Basically we have a closed system based on raw LoRa. The Gateway is mains powered and if equipped with FiPy it could forward data to backend servers through LTE Cat M1 using standard protocols (HTTPS, MQTT over TLS, ...).

I don't think there's anything past pilot trial stage yet, but there is a large NB-IoT trial with Telenor Sweden and also some trials with Cat M1 with another carrier.I don't really know when these will be past trial stage.

Do you have any information regarding LTE-M deployment in Sweden? I might find it useful for a particular project of my customer.

Yes we are in touch their IoT team in T-Mobile NL, they can support/test for all DT networks across Europe.T-Mobile NL will be one of our first NB-IoT + Huawei trial sites.

Our modem supplier - Sequans - is starting with Ericsson network support for NB-IoT.Huawei support is next in line but I don't have a clear date for it, likely it will be March.
Is this for Telekom SK? We're talking with T-Mobile for support across Europe.

In Slovakia we have pilot operation of NB-IoT in 800MHz band. Operator's network should be based on Huawei technology. When can we expect that it will be possible to use GPy/G01 in this network?

Any update on when FiPy will be certified by Telstra?

Telstra Cat M1 will be Band 28 (758-803Mhz) but note the FiPy is not yet certified for Telstra
